There is a growing lack of access.
I've been brand building since early 2002. My first company, PoshLifeBling, I built during the beginning days of MySpace. I was a teenager 'playing around' with entrepreneurship. But because I used my MySpace page to sell products vs. socialize (it was my first win at 'social selling' at just 19!), I put my brand on the map with Icons like Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, and then Khloe Kardashian, just a few months before Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired. Talk about perfect timing ;)
I snagged that famous shot of Khloe with my crystal Treo cell phone (do ya'll even know what that is, lol) - and the rest, was Bling history!
I built on my Influence, going from a massive YouTube presence in the early days, then on to growth hack Instagram year over year. I went on to work, design, and collaborate with more Icons - DVF, Heidi Klum + Project Runway, BravoTV + most of the housewives - Nene Leakes being my first one! Rihanna, and Queen Bey, Beyonce Knowles. ALL before Instagram.
That type of reach is harder and harder to attain for the everyday person, just like I was back then - with a newer playing field, when first starting my brand.
And that is why I started Bling Magazine.
My Zone of Genius is Influence and reach. I have a unique strategy that I've used year over year to continue to hone that skill. Still reaching more icons, attending backstage at some of the biggest award shows of the last decade including the THE GRAMMY's, BET, MTV, and AMA's.
Working with Gary Vee, and then being sought out by a Silicon Valley startup to help take them into Series B funding with my contribution of Brand + Community building that I'd created as an Entrepreneur since 18 years old...not too shabby, right?
